THANK YOU so much for the GORGEOUS print!! Charles and I both love it, and I'm going to get it framed this week. Your home will have a wonderful place in our home! I'm very appreciative, and will enjoy this vision of your world on that particular day for a very long time. Any time you feel a tinge of residual soreness in your back from that pointy stick, just remember that it was, in some small way, worth it! Ha ha. |

One of your first works I came across is the "Wilds Oats in the Reavis Gap" video. Like your photos, this video takes the viewer to a place where one can be at peace: being able to step back and contemplate nature's' marvels in admiration and wonder is an emotion I experience in your work. THANK YOU, Mike, for opening this window for me.

About your photograph "Cochise Dawn," to see such an image and then to capture it, goes far beyond words.
A truly great picture Mike, and one that could be easily accompanied by a thousand words.
I see you have the same amount of passion of what lies in front as you do from what you are seeing in the lens.

Dear Mike |

Your work reminds me of the early American painters that went west and brought back huge canvases that made everyone want to head to the Rockies. People like Church and Bierstadt come to mind. Your work has the ability to evoke those same feelings. I really need to head out west after peering into your work. You really have a great sense of design, light, and color. |

Dear Mike, You are an artist who works through the
medium of the camera. You capture more texture and depth with a
lens than most artists can do with a brush. Your eye for
detail is to the visual realm what the right word is to good
writing. Your photographs and posters are like doors:
transporting the viewer to another season, place and
mood. Mike Wise Hong Kong |

Dear Mike, The photograph "Winter Dream: Homestead" has a
feeling of sadness, cold and inner reflection, just as I imagine
winter to be. You created a strong nostalgia for this
season through the use of black and white and the strong
composition of your image. Mariu
